While there are those entities/individuals in this world that seek to destroy it and everything good in it. There are infinitely more who wish for the best and value the best in all things. Keep your values high and will that for others and things will change.
We must each have an identity so "I am" will always exist. The things you possess are just that; things. They have only the value to which you give them. It is what you do with your life that has value. Be positive and look for the positive in all things and you will feel better about life.
Life is hard. I've been here for 52 years and it has not gotten any easier during that time but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Foolish men have sought to create doubt in the minds of the masses but good will prevail and life will get better for us all. We are not as civilized as we will be a 1000 years from now but we ARE a lot more civilized then we were a 1000 years ago.
Civilization requires unity. When we are all united toward being civilized then we WILL be civilized. It also requires education in many areas. If this education does not take place then we loose our awareness of others and our ability to be compassionate. Compassion is the main thing that separates us as a species. We should take every opportunity to demonstrate that compassion even if it hurts a little.
I think a lot of the "evil" we see today is really just people being taught that compassion and love have no value. That it's better to be ruthless and selfish. These values will not prevail because they ultimately lead to chaos. Chaos is an unstable state and has no enduring properties.
Love your neighbors and be compassionate toward others. Even if you don't like them you can still be compassionate and help them to know that for themselves.

Website design #1
Ok, so I'm throwing around ideas for a new website for my old band. Here's one idea that is dramatically different than anything we've done before. Tell me if you like it, hate it, have suggestion for improvement, etc. http://robertjoy.d2g.com/hotelcalnew/index.htm
First entry
Ha ha! I never thought I would create a blog. I always thought they were kind of lame but I decided I should try it out and see before condemning the whole concept. I'm not much for keeping a journal so I'm not sure how long this will last. Who knows maybe I will find something useful to say. Just have to wait and see.
